ACC Emerging Cup 2016

So Papon said it in the interview that ACC (Asian Cricket Council) is arranging an Emerging Cup this year in March and it is proposed to take place in Bangladesh. This will involve Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and the associates, Afghanistan, UAE, Nepal and Hong Kong. Kinda like Asia Cup only it will not feature full squads for the test teams. So Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka will field only upto 4 international players and the rest will have to be U23 players. The Associates will be playing a full squad. Of course the format is full 50 overs.

Other then India, I see every time benefiting from this. Teams like Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Pakistan are in the process of creating a good bench strength and this will be the perfect tournament for it. For Associates, it will be even better for all the exposure their players will get.

For Bangladesh I want to propose the following players:

The tournament will run from 15th to 26th March in Dhaka. Afghanistan could also send the A team amidst their series with Ireland in India.

Bangladesh to host ACC Emerging Nations Cup to be held from 15th March. Afghanistan, Nepal, UAE & HongKong will play U23 Asian full members.
