One of the most elegant and stylish batsmen, Mark Waugh, to open with a solid and very experienced member of West Indies' own Desmond Haynes. Mark Waugh will look to send the ball through the available gaps and capitalize on batting powerplay with Desmond Haynes to show his skills to pull and cut the ball as fiercefully as anyone. If a bowler somehow manages to get past the opening pair, then Michael Clarke walks in to the crease who is ideal for the situation as he can adapt to all conditions. He will stick it around if the ball moves or will score quickly if situation permits. He's holding the key at this no.3 crucial position.

Coming down to middle order- Brian Lara, Damien Martyn and Andy Flower- all of them are capable of building innings or to counter attack. Arguably Lara is the best left hander of all time, the master of calypso strokes. Records after records were broken by Lara and he never looked to stop at any point. The arrogance and essence in his shot making is something a spectator can never forget watching him playing live. Then there's Damien Martyn with classical technique with all shots in the book. His off drives are treat to watch. Andy Flower coming at no 6 is a man of colossal concentration. His innovations were nothing short of genius. Sweep, reverse sweep, name any unorthodox shot, he was the best at those.

We have two genuine all rounders, Chris Cairns and the mighty Imran khan. Chris Cairns could hit the ball out of the park all day and used to hit those big. A powerful player with powerful build up, nothing short of in the class of power hitters. Then comes the captain, Imran Khan, a great leader and inspired thousands of cricketers. A very inspirational captain on and off the field.

Allan Donald to open the bowling with Curtly Ambrose. Allan Donald is all about speed and aggression. In those days, batsmen were afraid to face Donald due to his ability to hit the seam and he had one of the best inswinger in the game. The ball used to swing late and the batsman had no time to adjust the shot and edged the ball when there was outswing. Ambrose to make sure that none of the batsmen get any room to free their arms. A great bowler of destructive line and length. His extraordinary bowling average of 20.24 speaks for itself. Then batsmen have to contain with Imran Khan's swing bowling esp Reverse Swing at the death. A nightmare really for the opposition. In the middle overs, Saqlain, the inventor of Doosra, is there who is rated as arguably the best ODI spin bowler of all time.

Fielding unit with likes of Mark Waugh, Michael Clarke and Damien Martyn- they will save atleast 20-30 runs. Mark Waugh can take those catches at slip all day and Martyn will be at point diving and hitting the wickets at regular interval.
