Off topic: I agree with the overall mediocrity part. I'm not a fan of the Economist, but they are right that emerging economies have much to learn from the parable of Argentina. Especially the part about the dangers of being ruled by economically illiterate populists and governed by weak institutions; even when those shortcomings are papered over by economic growth.
