the thing is there are a number of pacers who can bowl 140kph+ now, and there are even more that bowl 130kph+, i think pace isn't as important as control, line and length, variations and the ability to think and bowl to a plan to try and get the batsmen out once a bowler can bowl 130+. obviously pace can be a weapon but if that bowler has no control, no variations, no line and length and can't think a batsman out and bowl to a plan the what is the point? it's about taking wickets, your fastest bowler isn't always your best wicket-taker.....

the positive is that he hasn't just been discarded like many others but if he's there purely for pace then there are others who can bowl as fast. rubel for one, shahadat can bowl 140+, shafiul on occassion can get his pace up there, sajidul can get up there, kamrul rabbi is meant to be able to, taskin.

the main issue with his current selection is that he's one 3 very similar pacers in the same squad and they are the only pacers in that squad. he is being singled out because rubel has shown potential and has ODI success and in periods shahadat has had success and abul is the new guy who is yet to have any real success.
