This is my first 4th of July without US citizenship 21 years, because I'll be running for the Parliament here in a few years, and I feel profoundly sad. It felt like this when Clara and I broke off our engagement after years of living together and spending some of the more special days without her.

A part of me will always be American and proud, and it's remarkably easy for me to visit my family and friends the USA whenever I want to, but I still feel like an outsider looking in for the first time in a couple of decades.

Happy 4th of July everyone. GOD bless you all and may GOD bless the United States of America. Thank you for taking me in America, and making me a better man, a Bangladeshi and a better submitter to GOD. You're ever present in my heart and I am blessed to die with the knowledge that you're there.
