Good wicketkeepers have to be quick and athletic. However, some WK without these traits have managed to do well by improving their anticipation. WK also have to focus for long. Mushfiq and Jahurul both suffer from occasional mental lapses.

The best wicketkeeper I have ever seen was Syed Kirmani. Toward the end of his career, no one used to play the leg-glance against India. If the ball stayed up, Kirmani would get it no matter how far it was. Allan Knott and Rodney Marsh were good as well.
