Yup. Actually, they faced the same fate during the inquisition.
Also, the info about the Muslim conquest is true. Some maps from before the times of the Turkish invaders, as described in historical texts, show large Muslim areas inside India, some close to or inside Bengal. Ancient scripts also have references of Muslim population, culture and behavior.
