btw where is your location. I don't think u can just start building houses in your backyard willy nilly - it would be a code violation. Also the cost u will encounter will rarely make sense for a rental . ppl usually do garage conversion.

I looked it up. IIRC, it's allowed as long as it doesn't have wheels...so, no trailers basically lmao. Think diff states have diff rules.

There are many diff designs and you can approach building a tiny house in diff ways. Can cost very little or a lot depending on how much of your own time you put into it, the design, and how you source the materials.

I think a decent one with payback period of a year is doable if I build most of it myself.

Plumbing I can't do. Roof depends on design - may need one more person. Everything else is doable. Electricity would be solar.
