Remember this is set few years in the future, at a different time-set, but at the same time, in the same period, in 2012 with a different what_if (but not really IF, since it happened or happening) scenario, where MLC's 10 year plans came into play, and there is NO OTHER FORM of cricket or leagues taking place other than MLC (plus the ICC WCs).
