BCL's bonus confusion
Sports Reporter
The playing conditions of the ongoing Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL) yesterday became the subject of chaotic contention.
The tournament committee of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) first provided a point system which had no provisions for batting or bowling bonus points in a press conference prior to the start of the newly-designed competition. However, the playing conditions that were distributed to the franchisees included the batting and bowling bonus scoring system and the first round matches were played accordingly.
Realising their mistake however, the BCB distributed revised playing conditions which again had no provision for bonus scoring for batting and bowling on the second day of the second-round matches. . . . . . .
