Back then situation was different. Many if not most had a rifle or some kind of firearms. Family destroyed, house looted and people (the survivors) had firearms and ammunitions. Perfect environment for all out chaos. Banks got robbed in day light. Awami/Bakshal workers tried to use their power over Jashod, muslim league and others. No one backed down cause everyone had armed. Everyone had claim that, "I freed the country not for you to loot". No one wanted to give up their firearms and lose the security they had. On top, the declaration of rokkhi bahini was icing on the cake. At least that generation after sacrificing so much had reasons of their misdeeds. We have none.

Tareq'r moto pola, who had a dad where many like me looked as a roll model, turned out to be the worst kind. 2009 will be real testing times for Bangladesh.
