Razab bhai, you have great knowledge of the game which I respect and you make good points here but you're leaving out an important point and that's the mental part. This is a guy who refused to bat at 4 before, thankfully he changed in that regard. We can say that was a while ago though. Nope. Recently in the NZ Test series, he was asked to bat at 3 in Tests and he again refused.
I agree he has the skills to open and you described them very well but the mental aspect always has to come in to play and mentally Riyad can't open.
