Most of the arms bought by Bangladesh Army, Navy and Air Force in the 1970s right after the Independence and early 80s are getting discarded thick and fast. Not that we bought high quality things back then. For example, 3 of 5 Frigates in our Navy were bought from the UK Navy after they decommissioned the ships. Thats the condition of all the three forces. Being from a Naval background, I've seen the condition of the Navy. The best part about our Armed Forces is the manpower. We have highly trained and skilled Armed forces. But to be fair, not the highest of facilities to back them up. But then again, loan, as always is a burden.
