Early on Kings' bowlers were unable show any impact and started to regret their decision to bowl first once the in-form Heat opener got off to a flying start. Once Trescothick departed without reaching his 50, things went down hill and the Kings managed to pull the Heat down to only 131 runs.

Just like their bowlers, their top order batsmen did not start well either, losing 2 wickets in first two balls without putting anything on the board. In came David Hussey, who wasn't overwhelmed by the situation and took the attack to his countryman Nannes. Together Hussey and AB put on an aggressive partnership. Once Hussey fell to Afridi, AB was running out of proper batting partners on the other end. Abdur Razzak unable to take on Hafeez's strict bowling caused more troubles for de Villiers. In the end Heat's defense was too good and we all witnessed yet another exciting nail-bitter.
Nail biting finish
