President Trump's CPAC speech again showed what a ghastly persona he is.

Despite being the most powerful man of earth, as the speech exposed, Trump is a constantly angry person, who is full of hate and resentment. This is also evident from him laughing very rarely. He is also very vicious and would not mind crossing any limit to harm his opponents. He is indeed a very dangerous personality. He certainly has mental issues.

What is more DEPRLORABLE than Trump's persona is how the mainstream media is covering and framing his speech. Politico has called it a 'scorched earth' speech that POTUS has found footing with after a disastrous week. Really? You couldn't find any other adjective for your headline? Other media called it a comeback speech. This type of normalization of Trump's brazenly abnormal behavior by media has brought Trump presidency in the first place, and might as well get him reelected.

In the speech, he took a dig at lawmakers of Muslim/immigration background. He did not name them, but it was clear who he was referring to:

Quote:
"Right now, we have people in Congress that hate our country. And you know that, and we can name every one of them if we want. They hate our country."
Quote:
A few sentences later, Trump made clear that he was talking about members who were not born in the U.S. “And find out, how did they do in their country?” Trump said. “Just ask ’em, how did they do? Did they do well, were they succeeding? Just ask that question.”
Quote:
"Mothers who love their daughters give them massive amounts of birth control pills because they know their daughters are going to be raped on the way up to our Southern border."
With Bernie or other somewhat progressive candidate likely getting the nomination from the democratic party, the elites in 2020 will be firmly behind Trump. This CPAC summit was a testing of massive messaging operation against democratic socialism, and based on media coverage, I feel they were partially successful.

Quote:
Given that millennials are not inclined to abhor socialism—51 percent view it positively—and the youngest people who remember the Cuban missile crisis are now in their 60s, the effectiveness of this particular attack remains to be determined. But don’t be surprised if that messaging isn’t reinforced with a little U.S. incursion into that distressed country, just in time for campaign season. If we’ve learned anything from Trump’s border-wall gambit, it’s that he’s not above using the military for domestic political purposes.

So this is where we are: The massive machinery of the Koch network, the religious right and the cash flows of the private capitalists angling for more deregulation and tax cuts are all-in behind this liar, this racist, this cheat. The messaging operation is tight. Democrats will need a strategic plan of their own to prevail in November 2020.
