I agree about crappy bowling, but even that is measured. A relatively no name Shahid came out of that structure and held his own against a decent Pakistan side on fairly flat wickets.

Naeem is a test team discard and he has a test average of about 30. 10 years ago, our best test bats like Rajin and Ash were averaging 25. Now even 30 average can't make the team. Pitche quality is unchanged.

Years ago, on "sporting" pitches Ash made 263 and Raqibul 313. If pitches are flatter those scores should be threatened more often. 2006-07 season Ash, Raqibul, Jaharul all averaged over 80+ like the current crop.

Bottom line is BD never had sporting wickets. Wickets were always flat...uneeshh ar beesh difference that's it.

Our baseline batting is stronger. How many Tests did BD draw from 2000-2012? The answer is just once! And since 2013 we've already drawn 5. Pitch didn't dramatically change from 2010 to 2013.
