I do not think our players barring Shakib has reached the level where we can go and start rating them. For instance, a batting wicket-keeper is desired by all teams. We know we have not produced one yet.
If we have someone taking wickets, he also creates comedy of errors in fielding. If somebody doing good fielding, we won't see him doing good with the bat that day.
Besides we so far had barely 2 generations of international cricketers whereas we do not have enough past records of doing consistently good. At least 5 years consecutive performance with galore is necessary before we can go for such rating. When we do also need to keep in mind we cannot rate the players played earlier in context to current team members.
Otherwise a lot of 'may be', 'if' etc. will arise and will only create confusion in discussion.
