there is a difference still. when u drop catches u can only blame the other team. thats part of the game. getting half of the wrong decisions is also part of the game.

but getting 1 out of 10 howlers is not part of the game, even if the 50-50 decisions are split.

being struck on the pads plumb in front is technically out, regardless of what the umpire says. that is definition of "leg before wicket". the umpires job is adjudge it...he cannot change reality.

however a dropped catch is simply a dropped catch. it is not technically out, because the laws of cricket state that catches have to be held for a batsmen to be out.
