Khaled Mahmud Shujon
Career  Sketch by Miran Rahman

A tiny medium-pacer - only a shade over 5ft - who bowls at a nagging pace and held the vice captaincy of the national team for a few matches. Exciting batsman who has played some explosively entertaining innings against the domestic sides of Test nations, including 145 off 138 balls against Bahawalpur, (eleven fours, four sixes) in 1998 and 108* off 91 balls
against Essex, (seven fours, five sixes) in 1999.  Has occasionally batted well against national sides too and was a worthy man of the match in the World Cup game against Pakistan.

Things have gone down hill for Mahmud since then however.  He hasn't managed to contribute with the bat and his slow medium pace bowling has been hit to all parts.

Career highlights:
  • 3/31 and 27 in ODI against Pakistan in the 1999 World Cup
  • 50 of 38 balls in ODI against Zimbabwe (November 2001)
