Career  Sketch by Miran Rahman

Raised Bangladeshi hopes that a genuine strike bowler had finally been unearthed in the first-class domestic season of 2000-2001.  He repeatedly captured six wicket hauls with the ball and showed some aptitude with the bat, hitting a rapid thirty against the all-conquering Australian Academy in a three-dayer.  Fell away somewhat towards the end of the season but still looks promising.

Career highlights:
  • 3/40 in ODI against Pakistan in 2002
  • 4/98 against Pakistan (2nd test, Nov 2002)
  • 4/39 in one-dayer against Pakistan U-17 in ACC U-17 tournament in 2001
  • National League 00/01: 12/74 (match figures) in first-class match against Dhaka in 2000
  • Debut performance : 10-1-31-1 against Zimbabwe, but outdid himself in the second ODI with a return of 3 for 48.
