Manjurul Islam Manju
Career  Sketch by Miran Rahman

A gangling medium pacer who has been given the new ball on occasions. Performed impressively in three out of his four matches in the 1999 World Cup, though observers have said that he is mainly only a threat on wet, helpful surfaces.  Currently losing ground to Bangladesh's other left-armer, Ranjan Das.  Manzur should bat at ten or eleven, though he is capable of eking out a few runs.

Career highlights:
  • 3 for 37 against Zimbabwe in 2001 as Bangladesh restricts the hosts for 230/7, 50 overs
  • 04/21 - Makes his TEST debut a memorable one taking 6 for 81 from 35 overs of world class bowling against Zimbabawe (first innings)
