We all know that an investigation has been going on the cricket players for their failure during the World Cup 2003. We also know that our captain used to embarrass the players along with other reasons for why the players did not listen to the captain. We know this too that our manager was a pretty friendly guy - too friendly actually and our coach lost interest to do his job as it was known even before the start of the tournament that the coach would be losing his job after the world cup.

But what we do not know is why our players are called to be indisciplined. What we can not know now, we can speculate.

We have to understand the meaning of indiscipline. What are the behaviors that can be said to be indiscipline behavior? Going to nightclubs, drinking, these are not in Bangladeshi culture. So, any player who does not go to nightclubs or drinks, he cannot said to be a well-controlled player. In our case, indiscipline is not sleeping at the right time, not practicing when a player is required to, listens everything and responds well in a team meeting hence, does exactly the opposite on the field, a player bats or bowls his hearts out on net practice, but again does exactly the opposite during a real match. There can be lots of other things that we can speculate that the players have done.

We can also speculate that only a single player did not do all these things, it has to be a certain groups of individuals who have done this. Because a single individual alone would not dare to go against the captain, the coach or the manager. If that is the case, then curtailing players in numbers - whether few or many would not resolve the dispute completely.

If it was only a matter of the captain being the worst person in the team, then the other players could have just under perform. But that did not also happen. A lot of players did perform - no matter how insignficant those performances were. Even the captain made mistakes ON THE FIELD, while being a player.

It all may sound very negative, but until the Tri Nation tournament begins, there is no chance of getting news of any hope or to think positive. Only the new players who were not in the team hold the key in their hands to change the whole environment.
